The Master of Chirurgiae (MCh) is an advanced surgical super-speciality qualification in areas such as neurosurgery, urology, plastic surgery, paediatric surgery, cardiothoracic surgery or surgical oncology. It follows an eligible postgraduate medical qualification in the usual route, with direct longer programmes also available in selected settings.
What students study
Training is built around high-level supervised clinical decision-making, operative exposure, peri-operative care, intensive or emergency management, multidisciplinary meetings, teaching and research. Duration and study options
