Overview
The Master of Veterinary Science (MVSc) is a postgraduate degree for advanced study in a veterinary or animal-science speciality. Areas may include medicine, surgery, pathology, microbiology, public health, epidemiology, reproduction, nutrition, genetics or livestock production.
What students study
Students take advanced speciality courses, research methods, statistics, seminars and teaching or extension work. Clinical branches require supervised cases and procedures; laboratory and production branches rely on experiments, fieldwork or herd data. A thesis is normally central.
