The Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) is a two-year teacher-education programme for candidates preparing to teach at the elementary level. Admission rules, entrance tests and counselling processes are set by the responsible state or institution, so applicants should always use the current official notice for their admission cycle.
SCERT Assam 2026-28 admission route
For the SCERT Assam 2026-28 session, permanent residents of Assam who meet the notified eligibility rules are selected through the SCERT Assam Pre-Entry Test (PET), followed by mandatory online counselling and institute allotment. The notice requires at least 50% aggregate marks in Higher Secondary, with a five-percentage-point relaxation for SC, ST(P) and ST(H) candidates.
