Who is affected?
This application window is for Indian nationals currently enrolled in an eligible school, college or course and meeting the academic, family-income and institution conditions for their track. It is especially relevant to students from economically weaker households who need financial support to continue their 2026-27 studies.
Eligibility checks before applying
The Foundation’s eligibility overview says every category has separate course, institution, marks and Family income conditions. Use the Eligibility Checker instead of assuming that a similar course or institution qualifies.
- Academic score: School applicants normally need at least 75% in the previous qualifying examination. College-category applicants normally need 75% or 7.5 CGPA in the previous academic year.
- Relaxation: The official marks guidance lists 65% or 6.5 CGPA for eligible SC/ST applicants and 60% or 6.0 CGPA for eligible PwBD applicants, subject to valid certificates.
- Family income: The limit is up to Rs 3,00,000 per year for school applicants and up to Rs 6,00,000 for UG, PG, Medical, IIT, IIM and Overseas applicants. A valid government-issued income certificate is required.
- Institution: Higher-education applicants must meet the ranking or accreditation rule for their selected category. The official institution guidance explains the NIRF, NAAC and world-ranking checks.
Read the official income-limit instructions carefully. Enter marks or CGPA exactly as shown on the marksheet, without converting or rounding the value.

What happens if the deadline is missed?
Once the application status changes to Closed, new submissions are not accepted. A student who does not complete and submit the form within the official window may lose the opportunity to be considered for the 2026-27 scholarship cycle. Starting the form without submitting it is not the same as completing the application.
