Overview
The SCERT Assam Pre-Entry Test (PET) is the state selection route for admission to the two-year Diploma in Elementary Education programme at NCTE-recognised teacher-education institutes in Assam. For the 2026-28 session, the test is followed by mandatory online counselling and institute allotment.
2026 admission process
SCERT Assam scheduled the PET result for July 27, 2026, first-phase online counselling from July 28 to July 31, and subsequent allotment and physical-admission stages in August. Candidates should use the live portal because the authority may revise the dates.
