How to use Slide and Freeze

• Freeze means accepting the allotted HEI and finalising that admission.
• Slide means temporarily accepting the allotted seat while remaining eligible for a higher-preference institution in the next selection round.

Selected candidates should not stop after choosing an option. The official schedule separately requires online fee payment and institute reporting within the same round.

Application fee and documents

The official FAQ lists a CAF fee of ₹500 for General/SEBC applicants and ₹300 for SC/ST applicants. Applicants with at least 40% disability, transgender applicants, orphans and residents of childcare homes are exempt from the CAF fee.
