What changed?
The new notice replaces the expired Round 1 and Round 2 action dates with the next CSAS UG stages. It gives a second application route to some candidates through Mid-Entry, opens a correction and preference-editing window for specified applicants, and fixes the admission timeline for Round 3, CW, ECA, Sports, Ward and performance-based allocations at the University of Delhi.

Who can use the Mid-Entry and correction window?
- A candidate who did not apply in CSAS UG 2026 Phase I may make a Mid-Entry application from August 3 to August 5 by paying an additional non-refundable fee of ₹1,000.
- A registered candidate who could not complete Phase II may submit programme and college preferences during the same window.
- A candidate rejected in Round 1 or Round 2 because of incorrect subject mapping, non-fulfilment of programme-specific eligibility or invalid documents may correct subject mapping and edit preferences.
- A candidate who was not offered any allocation through Round 2 may edit preferences.
- Candidates awaiting the CBSE Class XII compartment result are advised to complete Phase I through Mid-Entry; they can complete Phase II after the final result is declared.
Mid-Entry is not available for ECA, Sports, CW, Ward supernumerary quotas, performance-based programmes such as B.A. (Hons.) Music and B.Sc. (PE, HE & S), or the practical-based BFA programme. However, candidates already registered for Sports, ECA, CW or performance-based categories should review and update their college and programme preferences before the window closes.
Required student action
- Read the official DU CSAS UG upgraded-round, Mid-Entry and Round 3 notice.
- Sign in to the official CSAS UG candidate portal.
- Check whether the dashboard shows an upgraded allocation, Mid-Entry option, correction facility, preference editing or a new seat allocation.
- If using Mid-Entry, complete Phase I and pay the ₹1,000 additional fee by 11:59 PM on August 5.
- If adding or changing preferences, save and submit them before the window closes. An unsaved or unsubmitted preference list may not be considered.
- If allocated a seat, accept it by 11:59 PM on August 11 and respond promptly to any college query.
- After approval, pay the admission fee by 11:59 PM on August 13 and download the acknowledgement.
What upgraded candidates must do
An upgraded allocation is sent directly for college-level processing. The candidate must pay any differential fee shown on the dashboard. DU states that admission to the upgraded seat is complete only after successful realization of the admission fee.
What happens if the deadline is missed?
Missing the Mid-Entry deadline can remove the only Phase I application opportunity provided by this notice. Failing to save and submit preferences can prevent them from being used for later allocations. A candidate who does not accept an allocated seat or pay the admission fee within the stated window will not complete admission in that round.

Frequently asked questions
Does a Mid-Entry applicant automatically receive a seat?
No. Mid-Entry allows an eligible candidate to enter the CSAS process. Allocation still depends on eligibility, submitted preferences, seat availability and the applicable allocation rules.
Are Round 3 cut-offs tied to earlier-round cut-offs?
No. DU says Round 3 allocations will use candidate data available at the close of August 5, and the minimum allocation scores and ranks may have no relationship with those in earlier rounds.
