Summary: Central University of Andhra Pradesh (CUAP) has opened a separate Non-CUET registration route for vacant postgraduate seats in 2026-27. Eligible candidates must complete a programme-wise application on the official Samarth portal by August 10, 2026.
What changed?
CUAP will conduct its own online entrance examination for the remaining seats in listed PG programmes. This route is separate from the university’s earlier CUET-PG counselling rounds and is open to candidates who did not take CUET PG 2026, obtained a low CUET PG score, or appeared in another national- or state-level entrance examination.
Key highlights
- Registration opened on July 25 and closes on August 10, 2026.
- The CUAP entrance examination for this route will be conducted online.
- Remaining seats will be allotted in entrance-test merit order, subject to Government of India and UGC reservation rules.
- Applicants must submit a separate registration and fee for every programme they choose.
- The university has published a programme-wise vacancy matrix, registration manual and entrance-test syllabus.
Who can apply?
- Candidates who did not appear for CUET PG 2026.
- Candidates who received a low CUET PG 2026 score and want another route to a remaining seat.
- Candidates who appeared for another national- or state-level entrance examination.
Applicants must also meet the eligibility rules for their chosen programme. For example, the official manual says M.Sc Space Science and Technology applicants need at least 50% in a bachelor’s degree with Mathematics and Physics as compulsory subjects, or 50% aggregate in any BE/BTech branch.
