Who is affected?
This schedule applies to eligible 2026 candidates seeking admission to Bachelor of Education (B.Ed), Master of Education (M.Ed) or Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed) programmes through JCECEB counselling in Jharkhand.
Required student action
- Open the official JCECEB counselling page and select the B.Ed/M.Ed/B.P.Ed counselling process.
- Read the official three-round counselling schedule PDF before paying the fee or entering choices.
- If allotted in Round 1, download the allotment letter and report to the allotted institute with original documents by August 3.
- For Round 2, check the vacant-seat matrix on August 6, register, pay the applicable counselling fee and submit institute choices by August 11.
- Review and edit submitted choices during August 12-13 if needed.
- Download the Round 2 allotment letter on August 17 and complete institute verification and admission by August 21.
- If still seeking a seat, repeat the official process for Round 3 and complete admission by September 8.
Institute-change rule for existing allottees
A candidate allotted an institute in an earlier round may participate in a later round to seek a different institute. If a new institute is allotted, the previous allotment is automatically cancelled and the candidate must complete admission at the newly allotted institute. Candidates should therefore order choices carefully and should not enter an institute they would not join.
Documents and fee precautions
- Keep the entrance-exam details, counselling registration receipt, paid-fee receipt and downloaded allotment letter ready.
- Carry every original academic, identity, residence, category and other applicable certificate required by JCECEB and the allotted institute.
- Admission will not be completed if required original documents are not produced or eligibility cannot be verified.
- Use only the official JCECEB website for registration, choice filling, allotment downloads and notices.
What happens if the deadline is missed?
A candidate who misses registration or choice filling cannot be considered in that round. An allotted candidate who fails to complete document verification and admission within the stated reporting window can lose the allotted seat. Missing the September 8, 2026 Round 3 admission deadline ends the remaining action window in this published schedule.
Frequently asked questions
Can a Round 1 allottee participate again?
Yes. The official schedule permits an earlier allottee to join a later round for institute change. If upgraded, the new allotment replaces the former allotment automatically.
