Candidates shortlisted in two or more categories must appear in each applicable counselling session at the stated time. Reporting eligibility depends on the provisional general, reserved or additional-category merit list—not simply on having submitted an earlier application.

Who is covered?

The schedule covers vacant or converted seats in Retail Management, Banking and Insurance Management, Capital Markets, Business Analytics, Infrastructural Management, IT and Telecommunications Management, Pharmaceutical Management, and Hospital Management. Students comparing the qualification can also review the Master of Business Administration (MBA) course overview.

The 2:30 PM schedule includes the category-specific instructions for BC, OGC, RAS, BAS, YF and Foreign National/NRI candidates. Some SC, ST, BC, defence and sports vacancies have been converted to the general category because no candidates remained on the relevant waiting list. Candidates in these categories should use the programme-by-programme table in the official schedule PDF instead of relying on a general seat total.

Documents to carry

  • Original Class 10 and Class 12 certificates and detailed marks certificates.
  • Original qualifying-degree or graduation final-semester/year documents.
  • Migration certificate from the last university attended.
  • Original category certificate in the format required by the 2026 Handbook of Information or MET prospectus, plus any required affidavit.
  • A first-class-magistrate-attested gap affidavit, if there is a break in the academic record.

If the migration certificate is not available on counselling day, UIAMS allows the original to be submitted by August 14, 2026. Candidates should not treat that concession as applying to the other original eligibility documents.

Fees due if selected

The notice gives a tentative first-year total of ₹246,185: approximately ₹126,415 for the first instalment and ₹119,770 for the second. A candidate who graduated from a university other than Panjab University must add ₹2,320 as migration and registration fees. Check the official 2026-27 tuition-fee notice before arranging payment.

Provisionally selected candidates must pay the tuition fee online immediately during counselling on July 30. They must also pay ₹10,000 for summer training, placement, business club and case-unit activities—either by demand draft in favour of the Director, UIAMS, payable at Chandigarh, or through UPI on the spot.

Required student action

  1. Open the UIAMS official noticeboard and download the third-counselling PDF.
  2. Match your programme, category and merit rank exactly against the official table.
  3. Arrange all original documents, any category or gap affidavit, and the applicable fee-payment method.
  4. Report personally at UIAMS before 10:30 AM or 2:30 PM, according to your category session.
  5. If provisionally selected, complete the online tuition payment and ₹10,000 additional payment at counselling.
  6. Retain payment proof and follow any document-verification directions issued by UIAMS.

What happens if you miss the counselling or payment?

The notice requires personal attendance according to the applicable merit rank. A candidate who is provisionally selected but does not deposit the tuition fee and other charges by the prescribed time is liable to have the admission cancelled. Admission remains provisional until UIAMS verifies documents and eligibility.
